First Post...Argh

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog…I’ve never blogged before and this is all pretty new to me, so bare with! I thought that I would just do a bit of an intro for my first post and tell you a bit about me and why I’ve made this blog. So basically I love cosmetics…but I don’t like to spend a massive amount of money on them. I’d rather have 5 lipsticks in 5 different shades of red than just 1 expensive lipstick in 1 shade. That goes for most items of make up that I own. I justify buying more nail varnish by telling myself that it’s a slightly different shade of mint green to the one I bought just 2 days before…but when the polish only costs £1 I don’t lose any sleep over it. I wanted to start a blog to share my amazing beauty finds with other ladies out there, who like me, want to a have a different lipgloss for every day of the week, but don’t want to spend all of their hard earned cash. I hope that my blog will also prove that just because something is £1, it doesn’t mean that it is rubbish. I find that most of the time it is quite the opposite.
One of the main things you should know about me is that I have a nail polish addiction…well anything nail related really. Glitters, transfers, gems, flowers, nail art pens. You name it. I love to dabble with a bit of nail art but I don’t pretend to be an expert. I’ve only just started out with nail art and my skills haven’t really got beyond polka dots and nail transfers yet! I’ll share any nail art that I do, and I will do some simple tutorials that look very effective and hopefully professional.
Some of my favourite make up brands include; ELF Cosmetics, MUA, Rimmel, Barry M & Avon. I’ll provide website links or tell you the best shop to get the products from on each different post so that you can go out and buy the products for yourself if you like the look of them. Sometimes it’s hard to decide if you like the colour of a product when it is in the packaging, so I’ll be doing many colour swatches which will hopefully give you a better idea of what you’re buying.
So now you know a little more about me and what I’m hoping to achieve. I have put a picture of my nail toolbox below this post so that you see the extent of my addiction…kinda feels good to get it off my chest…
Sam x
