Born Pretty Store Nail Polishes

Hello everyone,

Today I have a review on some Born Pretty Store polishes that I ordered a few weeks back. Being new to the blogging scene I hadn't heard of Born Pretty Store before so was pretty excited when I discovered it. I ordered 4 different polishes to try and one of their $0.99 lucky bags.

My order came to just £11.88 and that including paying £1.77 for postage with tracking.

The first polish I tried was the 'Colourful Feather Glitter Nail Polish' which I bought in #1.

This is a lovely feather polish and has tiny bits of blue and green hex glitter in it. It applies really nicely although it is very thick and takes ages to dry. I applied it over a lovely shiny green polish which is a Fearne Cotton one called Clover. This polish cost £2.38 and is available in 8 different colours. It is a nice polish but no better than any other feather one I've tried, but for that price it's a bargain.

At the same time I tried 'BK Snow Glitter Polish' on my accent nail. I bought this in #15.

I used this over another Fearne polish which is a very sparkly silver called Devilish Diamonds. I absolutely love this glitter! It's really stunning and comes in a nice round bottle which makes a bit of a change. This is packed full of hex glitters in blue, white, copper and pink, and white bars and tiny hexes. It's quite hard to get the glitter to spread out evenly so I sponged it on in layers using a make up sponge. This way I managed to get all of the glitter without it being gloopy on my nail. This cost £2.50 for 15ml.

Next I tried out 'Special Texture Liquid-Sand Suede Glitter Nail Polish' in #15.

This is by far my favourite of the polishes that I ordered. It's a dream to apply. This is 2 coats with no top coat. It dries really quickly and gives a lovely sparkly textured finish. Its has a nice flat brush so application is very simple and it needs minimal clean up. This also comes in some other gorgeous colours and is £2.67.

The final polish I tried is 'Candy Colour Glitter Sparkle Yoghurt Nail Polish' in colour 004.

I'm not overly keen on this polish. I think it's the mixture of colours rather than anything else. It applies quite well considering that it's really glitter heavy. The picture above is 3 thin coats with a top coat. It gives quite a jelly finish and does layer up nicely. I was a bit worried about removing it because of all of the glitter, but it actually came off quite well. I think I would much prefer this polish in a different colour combination. This is priced at £2.60.

I ordered myself a $0.99 lucky bag which worked out at 59p so thought that it was worth a shot.

I got some chevron nail foils, some Hello Kitty nail stickers, 3 silver bow nail charms and some Chanel style fake nails. There isn't really anything here that I would use, apart from perhaps the little bow stickers in with the Hello Kitty set. But definitely worth a shot for 59p and I'll be ordering a couple more just for the added fun factor really.

I really loved my first experience of ordering from Born Pretty Store, everything is great value and my order only took about 10 days to come. You can find the link to the website here.

ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer Review

Hi everyone,

Today I thought that I would do a quick review of some awesome face primer that I own. It's ELF Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer and I have it in Tone Adjusting Green.

I picked this primer up a few months back when ELF emailed me one of their amazing 50% off codes, so I got this for just under £3.50. This is a really good price for such a great product. When I received this, the first thing I loved was the packaging. It looks really slick and looks way more expensive than it actually is. You also get a really generous amount of the product.

When it came to using it I thought that the pump action on it was a really good touch as you get just the right amount of product out without wasting any, and it stays nice and clean. The primer itself is wonderful. It's not too thick or greasy and a little goes a long way. It feels really silky against your skin and provides a great base for both foundations and powders.

I have an uneven skin tone and get pretty red around my cheeks but this product really does help with that and does a great job of evening out my tone. So I would recommend it, if like me you also have this problem.

Overall, I think it's a fantastic product and it's one of the best primers that I have tried out. It is also available in Clear, Brightening Lavender and Radiant Glow on the ELF website which you can find here. Also as one last hint, if you haven't already then you should sign up for the ELF newsletter and they will send you brilliant offers and discount codes including 50% off and free shipping.

Happy shopping!
